Firm Integration Associate

About the Opportunity:

The Firm Integration Associate will be responsible for supporting the planning and execution of multiple varieties of firm testing and platform readiness exercises throughout our clients’ tenure on the Insurance Exchange (iX) platform. Projects for which platform testing support is required include, but are not limited to, iX on-boarding projects, new product additions for live firms, delivery of new software features, and delivery of new integrations with firm Annuity Order Entry (AOE) providers. The scope of testing includes native iX features, capabilities defined in the firm’s Business Requirements Document (BRD), and end-to-end business integration testing with insurance carriers. The Firm Integration Associate will work directly with a Firm Integration Lead and/or the Firm Implementation Lead to understand client business requirements, custom client workflows, and user acceptance criteria and will be accountable for test execution and for documenting results. You will collaborate with the Product Management and Quality Assurance (QA) teams to ensure that development items are thoroughly tested and that defects are identified and addressed in a timely manner. You will execute comprehensive test plans and maintain related documentation, which will be referenced by both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Test Strategy Development

  • Ask thoughtful questions and strive to understand business context for and scope of client iX workflows to increase testing effectiveness.
  • Clearly understand client specific test plans, annuity product sets, business reasons for workflow nuances, etc. and recommend additional test scenarios as appropriate.

Test Execution

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that development items are fully tested and ready for deployment to UAT environment in accordance with project timelines
  • Conduct product testing in UAT environment and confirm that rider, sub-account and other user selections render expected results
  • Participate in testing meetings and calls and proactively communicate and address open items per the project’s published milestones and timeline. Report progress and roadblocks to management and escalate where appropriate.
  • Manage testing scope and execute comprehensive testing to verify client workflows work as designed (or to clearly communicate that they do not, highlighting associated risks).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or a related field
  • Up to 1 year of project management, business analysis or similar experience required
  • Basic understanding of Investment Management Operations processes, broker dealer / RIA technology and procedures preferred
  • Experience implementing or testing technology at broker-dealers and RIAs preferred
  • Experience developing test plans preferred
  • Ability and willingness to learn quickly by doing in fast-paced, quickly evolving business environment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to and retention of detail
  • Process orientation
  • Enthusiasm for data and data analysis
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and effectively communicate with colleagues and clients at all levels

Additional Requirements

  • Periodic travel and flexible working hours will likely be required to support published client project milestones
  • Periodic weekend post-deployment release testing required
  • Strong Excel, Word, Power Point, and Lucid skills  
  • Proficiency in using project management tools like JIRA, Monday.com and other relevant software applications
  • Candidate must demonstrate initiative, be self-assured and remain poised and professional in high pressure situations

Expected Hours of Work 

The work schedule for this position will be primarily Monday - Friday during typical business hours; however, based on the operational needs of this rapidly growing company, some work outside of typical business hours may be required. Working extended business hours or weekends will be required on occasion to support iX code deployments and on-boarding project schedule and deadlines.
